I remember when I was a teen, the last thing I wanted to do was get out of bed, so when I saw Furniture Village’s new multimedia bed I had to chuckle – if ever there was a perfect reason for your kid never to emerge from their bed, let alone their bedroom, then this is it.
Furniture village has just launched a multimedia bed – the perfect concoction for a wired up lazy teenager. I’d seen the ‘TV beds’ before, where a retractable TV appears at the foot of the bed, but this is aimed purely at kids – basically an all-round entertainment centre and storage facility.
The bed incorporates two round speakers within the headboard, a retractable 24” LCD remote control TV, an integrated MP3 docking station and plenty of storage space for CDs, DVDs, books and games.
If you never want to see your kid again and are willing to spend about a £1000 for the pleasure, then this could be the answer. They sure didn’t have these when I was a kid!

i would love that!
Wow! There’s been a lot of discussion recently about “couch potato” kids but this is a whole new world. With a bed like this they’d never actually make it as far as the couch!
