Gift Guide – Snapfish Personalised gifts

I’ve used Snapfish for years and their quality has always been second to none. The fact that they were one of the first online photo services and are still out there tells you something about their products.

I’ve been asked by a couple of online photo services to review  some of their products and rather than look at the usual photobooks or canvases, I’ve tried to find products that would make great gifts or stocking fillers.

Snapfish have a large variety of gifts available for Christmas, including Christmas tree ornaments, personalised cards and mugs – pretty much anything you can think that needs a photo on it!

I decided to choose a gift for kids and a gift for parents or grandparents

Picture My Little Monster in her own Book

For the Little Monster, I chose a personalised  Picture Me book. These gorgeous 10-page books allow you to add a photo of your child into the book itself. Its available in 6 different stories and is made from laminated paperboard so the pages won’t tear.

The books have won a number of parenting awards and I can see why. I chose ‘Down on the Farm’ because LM loves animals and farms. The quality of the book is clear from the outset.

Inside your child is the star

The unique way Snapfish have created the story and the photo opportunities is very clever and whilst it does have a hint of the tellytubby ‘sun’ to it, the books are so cute they’ll make a great memory in years to come. Snapfish recommend under 4yrs – I’d say from 1-3yrs since the stories and picture are more geared for very little ones.

For a gift for parents or grandparents, I chose a Wooden photo  panel. i’ve seen lots of wall art both acrylic and canvas and whilst I really love it, I wanted something a bit different that would sit on a sideboard or bookshelf. I like minimal single pieces more than frames and the wooden panel looked perfect.

The wooden photo panels offer an alternative to frames

I chose, as ever, a photo of my Little Monster – the only photogenic person in the house – I went for the 8*10″ sized panel and the results were really impressive. The photo itself is protected and gives a glossy shiny look – probably my only quibble since I prefer a matt look and thats not an option, but the coating makes it scratch-free and durable. Its got a standard frame easel at the back and would make a stunning and alternative photo gift for yourselves or grandparents.
